BRENT'S DIARY

September 4th, 2005

I know...I know... its been a long time since I've done a diary update. I apologize!!!

This weekend officially marked the end of summer. Ok, perhaps not, but when your used to getting home from gigs at 1am and now your arriving home at 4am, its the age old indication that club season is upon us. More on that later.

This has been another successful summer for Rhythm Method and Light Up. I believe it was our busiest to date and the response was once again overwhelming. Thanks to the many of you who continue to frequent the shows. We met a lot of people this festival season and hope that those who are new to RM and LU will continue to support the band as we all hibernate back indoors for the fall and winter club shows.

This weekend was our first time back at Kelly's II in Wind Lake since November of last year for their annual Rockfest. We shared the stage with our good friends from Creem. If you have not seen them.... just go and do it. They kick ass! From Prince to Journey to the Jackson 5 to the Black Crowes, they do it all and they do it VERY well. Their website is www.creem4u.com. Tell them we sent you, so we get our check........J/K

We got on stage around 11pm to a seemingly packed house. The crowd response following Kashmir let us know that this was indeed a rockfest. Our show ran smooth with the exception of some power issues that took down our lights a few times. Thanks to the staff at Kelly's for taking care of us and to Cheryl and Julie for the quick service on shots. It was a good time and we hope everyone who came out had fun.

I'd personally like to thank everyone who brought gifts for my new baby. Completely unnecessary, but very much appreciated! Also, thanks to those who've asked about Photograph and it's progress. Please check out the website address on our links page. Last, Dave asked me to mention that he wanted to thank the lady who brought him the scrapbook at Lynchfest. I think that's all for now!

Were off this week for a much needed break, then back at it on September 17th at Bubs in Germantown.

Domo Ari gato,

Brent
