Ray Tevich - Keyboards

Background:  Born in Muskego , WI – June 4th.  Started playing rock keyboards in 1985 after hearing Deep Purple's song “Perfect Strangers”.  Started playing professionally in 1989.

Prior Bands:  Alloy, Decameron, Booze Brothers (rhythm and blues), Barbara Stephani Group (jazz, latin, funk, blues) Inda Eaton (folk/rock).

Influences:  Keith Emerson, Jon Lord, Jens Johannson, Steve Morse, Chick Corea, Derek Sherinian, Rick Wakeman, Jordan Rudess, Joey Defrancesco, John Novello, David Sancious, Vitalij Kuprij, Glenn Gould, Awadagin Pratt, Rod Morgenstein, Terry Bozio, Simon Phillips, Billy Sheehan, Ritchie Blackmore, Stanley Clark, Steve Smith, Sting, many Russian composers.

Gig I’ll always remember:  Summerfest 1993 w/ Decameron

Gig I'd like to forget:  A weekend in Mishicot with the Barb Stephani Group.

What annoys you:  that tinkly Yamaha DX7 piano sound, people who type "your" when they really mean "you're", 80's hair metal bands that used keyboards...just because, customer service people that say "no problem" when you thank them, the song "My Favorite Things", any and all "reality TV" shows, hearing my favorite signed national band or recording artist play "cover" tunes during their concert.
